OUTCOMES, NOT HEADCOUNT · FROM $48/H

Managed QA (QAaaS)

We run QA end to end: strategy, tooling, execution and reporting against agreed SLAs. Ideal when you have no QA function. Ready in about 21 days from $48 an hour at mid-level.

Reply within one working day. NDA before we see your backlog. Rates are in US dollars; contracts can be issued in USD, GBP or EUR.

When to choose it

Managed QA (QAaaS) fits when:

You have no QA function and want outcomes, not headcount. We run QA end to end and report against agreed SLAs.

Choose it when

  • You have no QA lead and do not want to hire one first.
  • You want a monthly quality report you can show a board or customer.
  • Your engineers are shipping fast and need a safety net they do not maintain.
  • You want a single vendor accountable for coverage, tooling and results.

Look at another model when

  • You have a strong QA lead who wants to direct the work. Choose augmentation.
  • You need a short, bounded test. Project-based testing is cheaper.

Not sure? Compare all five models or ask for a recommendation.

How it works

From brief to first day in about 21 days.

Four steps, with dates you can plan around.

Baseline

Two weeks measuring where you are: coverage, escaped defects, release cadence, flaky tests, tooling gaps.

Strategy

A written strategy and tooling plan: test pyramid, environments, pipelines, metrics and the SLA schedule.

Run

The team executes and reports weekly against the SLAs. Service credits apply when an SLA is missed.

Improve

Monthly review of the metrics, with changes agreed and written into the next month's plan.

  1. Day 0Kick-off, NDA, security review
  2. Day 14Quality baseline delivered
  3. Day 21Strategy approved, team onboarded
  4. Day 45First monthly service review
  5. QuarterlyStrategy and SLA refresh

Security

Controls that apply from day one.

Signed NDA, your VPN and identity provider, managed devices. Details for regulated work are on the industries pages.

NDA before any detail

A mutual NDA is signed before we see your backlog, builds or credentials. Every engineer on your account signs an individual confidentiality undertaking.

Your VPN, your identity provider

Engineers connect through your VPN or zero-trust gateway, with your SSO and MFA. We do not ask for shared accounts or credentials sent by email.

Managed devices

Work happens on a PassRidge-managed laptop with full-disk encryption, screen lock, EDR and no local copy of client data, or on your own virtual desktop. USB storage is disabled.

Least privilege, named access

Access is requested per person, per environment, and removed on the day an engagement ends. Test data is synthetic or masked: no live customer records in test.

Background and right-to-work checks

Identity, right-to-work and employment-history checks before the first day. Criminal-record checks where the client and local law require them.

Security pack under NDA

Our policies, subprocessor list and incident process are in a security pack we share under NDA. We run controls aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 and do not claim a certificate we do not hold.

FAQ

Managed QA (QAaaS): your questions.

How is managed QA different from a dedicated team?

A dedicated team is a squad you direct through its lead. Managed QA is a service with an SLA schedule: we own strategy, tooling and results, and credit you when we miss them.

What SLAs do you commit to?

They are set per account after the baseline, and written into the contract. Typical ones are regression turnaround, defect triage time, coverage of new features per release and report timeliness.

Do you bring your own tools?

We use your tools where you have them. Where you do not, we propose open-source or licensed tools in the strategy, and licences are held in your name.

What does it cost?

The rate starts at $48 an hour at mid-level and is shown by region and level on the pricing page. The pricing page also lists a monthly cost for three pod sizes.

Can we exit?

Yes, after the 6 months minimum term with 90 days' notice. Test assets, tooling configuration and documentation are handed over in full.
