01We do not sell or share your personal information#
In the last 12 months we have not sold personal information for money or other valuable consideration, and we have not shared it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not run advertising on PassRidge, we do not give advertisers or data brokers lists of candidates, and we do not knowingly sell or share the data of anyone under 16.
California law (CCPA/CPRA) and the laws of several other states give you the right to opt out of sale and sharing anyway. We offer it to every visitor, in every country, because it costs us nothing and lets you hold us to the promise above.
02Opt out in one click#
Use the button, or turn the switch on. This saves an opt-out flag in this browser (the pr_optout item in localStorage, listed in the cookie policy) and switches optional analytics off in your saved cookie choice from your next page.
The flag applies to this browser only. If you clear site data or use another device you need to repeat it, or ask us to record it against your email address so it applies wherever you use your account.
03Global Privacy Control#
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser setting or extension that tells every site you visit that you opt out of sale and sharing. globalprivacycontrol.org lists browsers that support it.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, this page will say so here and record it as an opt-out for this browser.
- When you open this page with GPC on, we save an opt-out flag in your browser with the source marked as GPC. A choice you make here afterwards replaces it.
- We treat the signal as a valid opt-out request for that browser. Because we sell and share nothing, it does not change what we do with your data, but it is recorded and you can see it.
- When you make a choice in the cookie banner we note whether GPC was on. GPC is never treated as consent to analytics or chat.
- We do not ask you to prove who you are for a GPC signal, and we do not penalise you or send a pop-up that tries to change your mind.
04What counts as “sharing” on our site#
Optional analytics (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity) and live chat (Tawk.to) only load if you accept them in the cookie banner. They work as our service providers under contract, and the contract stops them using the data for their own advertising. We do not believe that is a sale or sharing under California law. We take a cautious view: if you opt out here, we also switch these tools off in your saved choice.
If you accept analytics later through the banner, that new, specific choice applies. The page you are on keeps running until you reload it.
05Other ways to opt out or ask#
- Privacy request form: choose “Opt out” at /privacy/request/.
- Email: [email protected]. Put “Do not sell or share” in the subject line.
- Post: PassRidge LLC, 8 The Green, Suite 4521, Dover, DE 19901, United States, or PassRidge Ltd, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
- An authorised agent can opt out for you. We ask for your written permission or a power of attorney.
We act on an opt-out as soon as we can and within 15 business days at the latest. We confirm by email if you gave us an address.
06Limit the use of sensitive personal information#
We use sensitive personal information (account log-in, optional self-identification, a contractor's tax ID or an identity document when a check is required) only to run the service you asked for, to pay you, to meet the law and to keep the site secure. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you or to profile you for advertising, so there is no further use to limit. Equal-opportunity answers are kept apart from your profile. See the notice at collection.
07Your other California rights#
California residents can also ask to know, delete, correct and port their personal information, and can use these rights without being treated worse. Details, time limits and how we verify requests are in our privacy notice. We offer no financial incentive or price difference for sharing personal information.
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and other states with a privacy law have a similar right to opt out of sale and targeted advertising. We apply this page to them too. California's “Shine the Light” law lets you ask which third parties received data for their own direct marketing. The answer is none.
08Contact#
Write to [email protected]. We reply to every request. If we say no, we tell you why and how to appeal, as set out in the privacy notice.
