01What this policy covers#
This policy lists everything PassRidge keeps in your browser. We use two kinds of storage: localStorage, a small store inside your browser that is not sent to our servers with each page request, and cookies, small files that the browser sends back to the site that set them.
Our own pages set no cookies. Everything we store ourselves is in localStorage. Cookies appear only if you switch on analytics or live chat, because those tools come from other companies and set their own. We do not use advertising cookies, social-media pixels or cross-site tracking, and our fonts are served from our own domain.
PassRidge Ltd and PassRidge LLC each apply this policy to the visitors they serve. See the privacy notice for how we use personal data.
02Your choice#
Nothing optional runs until you choose. The banner offers Accept all, Reject optional or Settings, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can change your mind at any time with the button below or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Your saved choice shows here when JavaScript is on. Until you choose, optional analytics and chat stay off.
We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if we add a new type of optional service. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we record it with your choice. See Do not sell or share.
03The categories we use#
| Category | What it does | Needs your consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Remembers your cookie and privacy choices, and keeps a form you submitted until it has been delivered. Without these the site cannot respect your choices or avoid losing your message. | No. These run because you ask for the feature, and they never carry advertising or tracking. |
| Preferences | Remembers settings you picked: your region or city, whether you are looking for work or hiring, a dismissed announcement, your progress through interview questions and your Level Test answers. | No. They are stored only in your browser and used only to give you the feature. |
| Analytics | Measures how the site is used so that we can fix confusing pages: Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. | Yes. Off until you switch it on. |
| Live chat | Lets you talk to the team through Tawk.to. | Yes. Off until you switch it on. |
04Storage set by PassRidge#
These are every localStorage key our own code uses. None is a cookie. Keys starting pr_ belong to PassRidge. Clearing your browser data for passridge.com removes them.
| Key | Category | What it stores | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
pr_consent | Essential | Your banner choice: analytics on or off, chat on or off, the date you chose, and whether your browser sent a Global Privacy Control signal. | Until you change it. We ask again after 12 months. |
pr_optout | Essential | Your “do not sell or share” choice, whether it came from you or from a Global Privacy Control signal, and the date. | Until you remove it or clear your browser data. |
pr_outbox | Essential | A copy of a form you submitted (such as an application or enquiry) that could not be delivered yet, so it can be retried. It holds what you typed, up to 25 forms. | Until the form is delivered, then it is removed. |
pr_geo | Preferences | Your country and city, from the region picker or detected from your network location or time zone, with the date and how it was set. We use it to show local pay and the right PassRidge company. | Detected places are refreshed after 1 day. A place you picked is kept for 30 days. The key stays until replaced or cleared. |
pr_aud | Preferences | Whether you chose “I'm looking” or “I'm hiring” on the home page. | Until you change it or clear your browser data. |
pr_announce_<id> | Preferences | A flag that you dismissed the announcement bar with that id. Today the id is flex-2026-10. | Until you clear your browser data. A new announcement uses a new id and shows again. |
pr_iv_done | Preferences | Which interview questions you ticked as done, on the role interview-question pages. | Until you press reset or clear your browser data. |
pr_level_test | Preferences | Your Level Test answers and the date. They stay on your device and are not sent to us. | Until you press clear on the test or clear your browser data. |
Reading pr_geo does not send anything. When it needs a fresh location, the site asks our server which country your request appears to come from. That lookup uses your IP address for the request only, and the answer is not linked to a profile. Server logs are kept for 30 days (see the privacy notice).
05Cookies from services you switch on#
These services load only after you accept the matching category, and only if we have turned them on for the site. They set cookies, and sometimes localStorage entries, on their own terms. The names and lifetimes below are what each provider documents today, so they can change when the provider updates its software. Your browser's developer tools show the exact list.
| Service | Typical cookies | Purpose | Typical duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 (Google) | _ga, _ga_<container id> | Tells visits apart and counts page views and events. We turn on IP anonymisation. | Up to 2 years | Analytics |
| Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) | _clck, _clsk, CLID, MUID | Session replays and heatmaps with text and inputs masked, so we can see where pages confuse people. | 1 day to 1 year | Analytics |
| Tawk.to live chat | __tawkuuid, TawkConnectionTime, twk_idm_key | Keeps a chat open between pages and recognises you if you return. | Session to 6 months | Live chat |
Under the privacy notice, analytics data is kept for 14 months. Each provider acts as our processor under a contract that stops it using the data for its own advertising. If you reject a category and later accept it, the provider's cookies begin only from that point.
06Controlling storage in your browser#
- Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking essential localStorage means the site cannot remember your choices, so the banner will ask each time.
- Private or incognito windows delete site data when you close them.
- A Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track setting in your browser does not turn the banner choice on for you. We read the Global Privacy Control signal as described on Do not sell or share and never treat it as consent.
07Changes to this policy#
If we add a service or a storage key we update this table first and, for optional services, ask for your consent again. The date and version are at the top of the page. Questions go to [email protected].
