FIXED SCOPE, FIXED PRICE · FROM $42/H

Project-based QA testing

A release tested, an app audited, a migration verified. We scope it, quote it, run it with daily reports and hand over a final report. Start in about 7 days; terms from 2 weeks.

Reply within one working day. NDA before we see your backlog. Rates are in US dollars; contracts can be issued in USD, GBP or EUR.

When to choose it

Project-based QA testing fits when:

You have a release, a migration or an audit with a hard date. Fixed scope, fixed price: a release tested, an app audited.

Choose it when

  • A release, migration or platform change has a hard date.
  • You need an independent view before launch or a funding round.
  • A compliance or customer audit needs test evidence.
  • You want a price for an outcome rather than an hourly meter.

Look at another model when

  • The scope will keep changing. Time-and-materials augmentation fits better.
  • You need QA all year. A dedicated or managed team costs less over time.

Not sure? Compare all five models or ask for a recommendation.

How it works

From brief to first day in about 7 days.

Four steps, with dates you can plan around.

Scope

A 45-minute call and a review of the application, releases and risk. We agree what is in and out of scope.

Plan and quote

A written test plan with coverage targets, environments, entry and exit criteria, and a fixed quote.

Execute

Testing starts. You get a daily report of tests run, defects raised and blockers, and defects land directly in your tracker.

Report

A final report: coverage achieved, defect summary by severity, open risks, regression suite and a go or no-go view.

Security

Controls that apply from day one.

Signed NDA, your VPN and identity provider, managed devices. Details for regulated work are on the industries pages.

NDA before any detail

A mutual NDA is signed before we see your backlog, builds or credentials. Every engineer on your account signs an individual confidentiality undertaking.

Your VPN, your identity provider

Engineers connect through your VPN or zero-trust gateway, with your SSO and MFA. We do not ask for shared accounts or credentials sent by email.

Managed devices

Work happens on a PassRidge-managed laptop with full-disk encryption, screen lock, EDR and no local copy of client data, or on your own virtual desktop. USB storage is disabled.

Least privilege, named access

Access is requested per person, per environment, and removed on the day an engagement ends. Test data is synthetic or masked: no live customer records in test.

Background and right-to-work checks

Identity, right-to-work and employment-history checks before the first day. Criminal-record checks where the client and local law require them.

Security pack under NDA

Our policies, subprocessor list and incident process are in a security pack we share under NDA. We run controls aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 and do not claim a certificate we do not hold.

FAQ

Project-based QA testing: your questions.

Is the price really fixed?

Yes, for the scope in the signed test plan. If the scope changes, we quote the change in writing before doing the work. If our estimate was wrong, the overrun is ours.

What types of testing can be a project?

Release regression, user acceptance testing, mobile device coverage, performance and load tests, accessibility audits, security testing and data-migration verification.

What do we need to provide?

A stable test environment, access for named testers, requirements or user stories, and a contact who can answer product questions within a working day.

What happens to the tests afterwards?

You keep them. Test cases and any automation scripts are delivered into your repositories with documentation, and the contract assigns the rights to you.

Can a project become an ongoing engagement?

Yes. Many clients extend a successful project into a dedicated team. The team already knows your product and the regression suite.
