London And New York

PassRidge Flex opens to 14 of 15 QA roles

Testers can now take 3 to 4 hour project tasks next to a main job, with hourly and per-project rates published before they apply.

PassRidge today opened PassRidge Flex to 14 of the 15 QA roles it recruits for. Flex lets QA professionals take project tasks of 3 to 4 hours a day, paid hourly or per project, next to a permanent job or other commitments.

Published hourly rates range from $22 to $45 for test cycles and exploratory testing, with higher ranges for automation scripts and security tests. Every task shows scope, window and rate before an application.

"Flexible work in QA is common and rarely transparent," said Daniel Whitcombe, CEO. "We show the rate and the hours first, and we vet testers with a paid exercise so clients can start within a week."

PassRidge has published the 2026 edition of its Salary Index, covering 15 QA roles at four levels in eight countries. Figures combine posted pay ranges, placements and public statistics, and are labelled as estimates where data is thin.

The method page lists sources, shrinkage rules and the date of each calibration run. Hiring teams can use the figures to set ranges before a search starts.

Yusuf Demir, Salary Research Analyst, said the team would update the index each quarter and publish changes to the method in the same place.

PassRidge LLC, the company's US entity, now serves clients and candidates in Canada and Latin America. Contracts, invoicing and payment follow local rules, with currency shown on each listing.

"Time-zone overlap decides most remote QA hires in North America," said Priya Raman, Managing Director, US. "Adding Canada and Latin America gives US teams more people within two hours of their working day."

PassRidge Ltd continues to serve the UK, EU and the rest of the world.

PassRidge passes 5,500 QA placements and ends unpriced listings

From February, no role goes live without a pay range, and every listing shows its pay source.

PassRidge has placed more than 5,500 QA professionals since 2019. From 1 February, every PassRidge listing shows a pay range, and listings state whether the pay is posted by the employer or estimated by PassRidge.

The company had already required pay disclosure for client roles since 2023 and now applies the same rule to partner and market listings.

"Candidates should not need to apply to find out what a job pays," said Amara Okafor, Head of Talent.
