- Highest remote share among countries with at least 15 postings: Serbia (67%, n=15). Lowest: Israel (0%, n=27).
- By role, AI / LLM Evaluation QA postings are remote 50% of the time; QA Lead / Manager postings 16%.
- Remote share by contract type: permanent 22%, contract 25%.
01The overall split
We classed every posting as remote, hybrid or on-site from the work-mode field in the ad. Overall, 22% of the 3,863 postings are remote.
A remote tag in an ad can still mean remote within one country or time zone. We do not split that out; check the location line before you apply.
02By country
Countries with at least 15 postings, sorted by remote share. Bar labels show the share of each mode; n is the number of postings.

Serbia and Argentina lead on remote work. At the other end, Singapore, Malaysia and Israel post mostly on-site or hybrid roles. The United States, the largest market in the sample (n=1127), is 35% remote, 13% hybrid and 52% on-site. Small countries can swing on a handful of postings from one employer, so read single percentages with n in view.
03By role
Role changes the answer more than most people expect. Roles with at least 25 postings:

- On-site
AI / LLM Evaluation QA postings are the most remote (50%). QA Lead / Manager postings are the least (16%). The lowest remote shares are in SDET, Manual QA Tester and QA Lead / Manager. Our data does not say why; roles that need physical devices or on-site labs would be one explanation to test.
04By level and contract type
Seniority and contract type also move the mix.

Contract postings are 25% remote, permanent postings 22%. Permanent: n=3,294; contract: n=569.
05Method and limits
Sample: 3,863 public postings harvested 20 Oct 2026 from employer career pages and public job feeds. Listings are postings, not people or confirmed openings: one role open in several cities counts several times (2,417 distinct titles across 3,863 postings). PassRidge talent-pipeline roles (149) are excluded from every statistic.
Country is the location of the posting. A remote role advertised in one country may hire from several.
