Learning path

Learn Python in five steps

A practical order that gets you to a working project. Build something at each step; reading alone does not stick.

  1. 1

    Core syntax and tooling

Learn variables, functions, collections, virtual environments and pip.

  2. 2

    pytest basics

Write tests with fixtures, parametrization and markers.

  3. 3

    HTTP and data

Call APIs with requests, parse JSON and validate responses.

  4. 4

    Browser automation

Add Playwright or Selenium and structure tests with fixtures.

  5. 5

    Code quality and CI

Add linting, type hints, coverage and a CI pipeline.

Interview

Interview questions about Python

Questions from our Interview Vault that test Python knowledge. Answer aloud first, then reveal the model answer.

Which data-quality dimensions do you test?

Completeness, uniqueness, validity, consistency, accuracy and timeliness. Encode them as automated checks, for example Great Expectations suites or dbt tests, and run them on every load.

Why are exact-match assertions not enough for an LLM feature?

Outputs are non-deterministic and many phrasings are valid. Combine constraint checks (format, length, required fields), rubric-based scoring and semantic comparison, and judge results statistically over a dataset instead of one run. Low temperature reduces variance but does not remove it.

AI / LLM Evaluation QA · Junior · Basics

How do you detect regressions when you change a prompt or model version?

Run a frozen evaluation set on both versions, compare per-slice metrics with a paired significance test such as bootstrap, review the individual flipped cases and canary online metrics. Pin model versions and keep prompts in version control with CI gating.
